Arkansas Mission of Mercy
Mission of Mercy programs provide free dental and healthcare services to uninsured and underserved individuals who might otherwise receive no care at all. A typical 120-chair clinic delivers approximately $2.5 million in dental services during a multi-day event — completing hundreds of crowns and thousands of fillings inside temporarily converted convention centers.
These events require enormous operational support: dedicated zones for pediatric care, oral surgery, hygiene, restorative treatment, imaging, and sterilization, with continuous supply operations running throughout. Standard Computer volunteers technology, labor, and leadership at every stage of the event.
2023 Pilot. Standard Computer introduced 12 iPads at Arkansas Mission of Mercy to replace paper-based 2D dental sensor images during patient workflows. The pilot was successful — but surfaced a real challenge: battery life couldn't sustain the full day. The team went back and solved it.
2024 Expansion. The program was rebuilt from the ground up for scale.
Standard Computer deployed 35 iPads alongside a purpose-built mobile IT support station — designed specifically for the event environment. The station included simultaneous charging infrastructure for all 35 devices, cleaning and repair tools for onsite support, centralized mobile device management, and — in true Standard Computer fashion — an integrated coffee bar to keep volunteers fueled.
All equipment, labor, infrastructure, deployment, and onsite support were fully donated to Arkansas Mission of Mercy at no cost. Beyond the technology contribution, Sean Kubin's wife Nicole volunteered as a nurse at both the 2023 and 2024 events, providing triage support for patients throughout each clinic.
This is what it looks like when technical expertise and a genuine commitment to community come together.
